Systematic theology - Systematic theology is the study of Christian theology organized thematically (as opposed to historically, as in Historical Theology or Biblical Theology - according to some uses of the latter term).

Ascetical theology - Ascetical theology is the organized study or presentation of spiritual teachings found in Scripture and the Church Fathers that help the faithful to more perfectly follow Christ and attain to Christian perfection. The word ascetic is from the Greek word askesis, meaning practice.

Theology Proper - Theology Proper is the term used to distinguish the study of God the Father in a Trinitarian system. See also Pneumatology and Christology.
